What type of Dr. fixes deep acne facial scars?

I have deep acne scars that I want to have treated this year. It's mostly on my cheeks, but also all over my face. It's real bad so I'm looking for a medical procedure, not over the counter and topical stuff (I've already tried that with no results).





I'm just confused on which type of doctor to see; a Dermatologist? Cosmetic Dermatologist? Plastic Surgeon?


If anyone has knowledge of this area or has done this, I'd really appreciate any help

You want to see a Dermatologist: they are VERY successful at dealing with acne problems.





However, that may be expensive if not covered by your insurance, and you should make sure you've seen a few Esthetiscians (sp? - esthetiques) first. I can recommend a great one in central new york.
