So, yeah, I've only had acne for the last year or so and it's pretty much done, but I have some unattractive scars left over from it. Mainly on my cheeks. What are the odds that they'll go away? Is there anything I can do to help the process? How likely are a 16-year-old's acne scars to go away?
I'm told that very good hair conditioners, like Paul; Mitchell, work.
Otherwise, check out Dr. Paul Murad's products--pricey, but they work really well and totally worth it.
There is Retin-A that you have to get from a doctor. If you have sensitive skin, STAY AWAY!!! I was prescribed the weakest prescription and got severe burns.
An inexpensive option: Get a Q-tip and brush on lemon juce over the scars to help fade them. How likely are a 16-year-old's acne scars to go away?
You have to mix 2 tablespoons of sour cream, 2 tablespoon of yogurt, 2 tablespoons of oatmeal and few drops of lemon juice. Paste the blend all over your scary skin areas and leave it for almost 15 minutes then wash off with warm water. One the first time itself you will notice darker scars turn to fairer color tone. Doing it on a regular basis, your scary skin areas will match your normal skin tone.
the acne scars...usually lasts long... so u might be looking at 2 or 3 months for severe ones to go away (even after they have been healed)
but than if u treat them carefully, with certain toner/moisturiser(skin treatments) they will dissapear soon
There is a very good chance that they will never go away, and will need cosmetic surgery to have them ';smoothed over';. Scar cream won't fix the deeper ones.
You could always try cream. My ex-bf had them pretty bad and now he looks fine. Your skin won't be perfect, but whose is.
