Do you hide the inevitable scars we get in life?

My chest to just below my navel is scarred from bacon grease splatter.

I try to my greatest ability to hide those inevitable scars, and for the most part, I succeed. My fiance is the only one who's ';seen'; those scars first hand, and I intend on keeping it that way.
No, I'm fine with them. I have a scar on my ankle from falling, and two on my elbow from when I broke my arm. I kinda got used to them.
Yeah. I have a scar on my forehead and on the middle of my top lip. Which isn't very noticeable, especially in pictures.
I have a scar on my wrist, one on my lip and one on my right thigh. No point hiding them, they'll always be there. But they are only small so thats good.
I'm nearly 40 and have more scars than I can count. I wear them all proudly-like a memorial to my battles through life. Mental ones too.
Tattoos cover physical scars...!!
Theres no point in hiding it. You've got it forever. Just accept it. (:
Some things will wash away, and the rest...well, why hide the rest?
Thank God they aren't any lower. Hot bacon grease and sausage don't mix well. Post pics so I can decide if you need medical attention.
And hot chicken grease will remove freckles...
